Dowdy,

Directors.
He
came
to
the
firm
in
1977
with
the
establishment
of
the
Huntsville
office.
Ralph's
primary
area
of
specialization
is
corporate
and
estate
taxation.
He
is
a
charter
trustee
of
the
American
Institute
of
Federal
Taxation
and
serves
each
year
on
the
CPA-IRS
Liason
Committee
of
the
Alabama
Society
of
CPA's.
He
is
also
a
frequent
speaker
on
tax-related
topics.
Before
joining
MDA,
Ralph
was
tax
manager
of
the
Huntsville
office
of
Ernst
&
Whinney.
A
leading
member
of
the
accounting
profession
statewide,
Ralph
is
a
past
president
of
the
Alabama
Society
of
CPAs.
He
also
represents
the
state
society
as
a
member
of
the
council
of
the
American
Institute
of
CPAs
and
serves
on
the
Area
II
Planning
Sub-committee
of
the
Institute's
State
Legislation
Committee.
He
is
past
president
of
the
Huntsville-Decatur
Chapter
of
CPAs.
A
resident
of
Guntersville,
Ralph
has
taken
an
active
role
in
civic
affairs.
He
has
been
a
member
of
the
Jaycees,
the
Moose
Lodge,
the
Lions
Club,
and
a
member
of
the
Board
of
Directors
of
the
United
Givers
Fund.
Ralph
is
a
graduate
of
Auburn
University.
He
and
his
wife
Ann
have
two
sons
and
are
members
of
the
First
United
Methodist
Church
of
Guntersville.
